As part of the 2023 Ayr Gold Cup Festival, we celebrated the ‘Good People’ behind Scotland’s showpiece horse racing event. We overhauled the ‘Best Turned Out’ prize across each of our nine sponsored races, rewarding the hard-working grooms who often receive little recognition for preparing the horses. The winner of the ‘Best Turned Out’ award for each race won £200, doubling the prize from 2022, whilst each of the remaining 24 non-winning grooms also received an unprecedented runners-up prize of £50. And as a unique further prize, all winning grooms were entered into a draw to win a voucher worth £1,000.
